From Blank Canvas to Dynamic Space: Establishing and Developing Writing Centers in Secondary Schools (013)
This panel explores the creation and development of writing centers in secondary schools. Panelists will share strategies for gaining support, training peer tutors, and integrating centers into school culture. The session includes a Q&A and workshop, providing practical tools for establishing or enhancing writing centers.

Stephanie Tatum is a 25-year veteran English Language Arts teacher at Harrison High School in Cobb County where she teaches honors humanities (a combination of AP World History, honors world literature, and honors art history) and AP English Language and Composition. As if those were not enough, she also dabbles in the STEM and Social Studies worlds in addition to co-sponsoring National English Honor Society. Her forays beyond the classroom usually happen in the garden or at a bird-watching site, except for Saturdays in the fall when she is watching the Dawgs.
