ELA educators teach contemporary literacy skills, while striving to cultivate inquiry and joy (Muhammad, 2020; Muhammad, 2023). In this session, an ELA teacher and an ELA teacher educator will share reflections, beliefs, and pedagogies for sustaining joy and a sense of inquiry in “a paradoxical time” (GCTE, 2024).
