Crystal McClain is a dynamic and innovative educator who leads with a spirit of servanthood and heart. As an experienced 6-12 literacy specialist, Crystal employs engagement and practicality to help educators design impactful learning experiences that foster a joy for reading and writing, build literacy skills beyond the classroom, and improve student outcomes. Crystal facilitates and co-facilitates numerous professional learning sessions on reading comprehension, writing instruction, vocabulary development, and disciplinary literacy. Passionate about the literacy success of all students, Crystal frequently works with co-teaching models and develops tailored strategies for inclusive classrooms. In her role, she strives to bridge research and practice to ensure all learners are empowered to achieve literacy success in preparation for college, career, and life.
