Kristen Woods Broughton is a dedicated Secondary Literacy Specialist for Atlanta Public Schools, where she supports students and teachers in advancing literacy across the district. A proud graduate of Howard University, Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Secondary Education. With over 12 years of experience in English Language Arts education, she has honed her expertise as an educator, instructional coach, and advocate for public school education. Kristen furthered her professional credentials with a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction and earned Special Education certification to deepen her impact in diverse learning environments.
Residing in metro Atlanta with her husband and two daughters, Kristen is inspired daily by her family to champion equitable literacy opportunities and strengthen the community. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading, and dinner dates. Kristen remains committed to ensuring every student has access to a high-quality education.
