Kenya R. Taylor

Kenya Taylor is an experienced educator with 23 years of teaching English Language Arts, including AP English Language and Composition and public speaking. As the magnet coordinator at Chapel Hill High School in Douglasville, Georgia, Kenya is dedicated to advancing literacy practices through balanced approaches that integrate teacher-led and student-driven strategies. Passionate about teacher development, she specializes in helping educators incorporate literacy across disciplines to empower students as critical thinkers and communicators. Kenya has completed doctoral coursework in rhetoric and composition and is pursuing educational leadership certification, bringing a well-rounded perspective to literacy development and instructional innovation. She also serves on the Georgia Council of Teachers of English (GCTE) board as Membership Director.
